Job Description:

  • Reporting to the President and CEO, the Senior Director of Agri Business is responsible for fostering effective, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships between the company and poultry producers.
  • The Senior Director builds relationships with broiler and turkey producers within the Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island poultry industry, ensuring that quality standards and weight requirements are achieved from farm to plant.
  • The Senior Director works closely with producers to ensure all standards are met pertaining to live supply, food safety, food quality, and all other workplace regulations. The Senior Director is a key member of the executive team and is jointly accountable for overall company performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional at relationship management, have outstanding people and asset management experience in an executive capacity.
  • Strong business acumen, while seeing the value of collaborative leadership.
  • Driven and resilient.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in a business or technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in food, agriculture, or other related industry.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to support the growth of others and build strong relationships internally and with producers, shareholders, and external partners.
  • The Senior Director, Agri Business must enjoy being in the office as much as they value being in the processing facility or on the road visiting farmers throughout the region.
  • Innovative problem-solver who can make decisive and data driven decisions in order to build relationships and develop a new division within the business.
